Harvest Kids
LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
On September 12, we'll journey to faraway places like India, Egypt, and Ghana, West Africa to watch the most viewed movie of all time. We'll discover the impact of Jesus around the globe and experience Him more personally in our own lives by studying His life and message. We'll experience international games and crafts, as well as direct our own movie. "My Big Screen Adventure" shows only at The Nine. Admission passes for 1st grade and up.
Preschool: This quarter, preschoolers will learn the exciting stories of Old Testamet leaders and kings like Deborah, Samuel, King David and Solomon. They'll hear stories from the Exile and end with the birth of Christ.
Pre-Kindergarten: God Made Us. Our 4 and 5 year olds will dive into the Old Testament - discovering who God is, what He is like, ad what He can do! They'll begin with Cration and end with God's blessing to Abraham.
1st/2nd Grade: My Awesome Adventure: New Life with Jesus, taught by Ms. Sue Irvin. The 1st and 2nd Graders will kick off the school year with a 12-week new believers class - learning what a decision to follow Jesus means and how to grow as His disciple. Great follow-up for kids who have recently made decisions for Christ, as well as those interested in exploring more about it. Please help your children be present for each class so they get a fuller understanding of what saying "Yes" to Jesus is all about!
3rd/4th Grade: Transforming the World: Eyewitnesses! This fall the third ad fourth graders will observe the explosive spread of the Gospel message. They will learn how the Holy Spirit empowered early believers to tell others the Good News of Jesus Christ and relive the exciting events of the first-century Church. Guest missionaries will share their own eyewitness accounts during the quarter. This class will also participate in a mission project to supply believers in persecuted countries with Bibles.
Parent Assistants
If you are a member or regular attender with a child in our program, we are asking your help to assist a teacher for six Sundays out of the year. We've grown and our teachers need an extra set of loving hands to help with crafts, snacks, etc. Sign-up sheets are on the children's check-in desk. Please complete a background check if you hav enot done so already and leave it on the labeled folder. Thank you for blessing the children's ministry with your love and time.

   Cafe Ministry Needs YOU!
We need to build a rotation clean-up crew for the Cafe Ministry. Could you give 15 minutes after breakfast, one Sunday a month? There are some of the team who do the amazing cooking for us who haven't been able to come into worship because they are cleaning up the cafe after the cooking is done. We would like to form a separate team for clean up so that no one has to miss worship. Please see Terri Kendall in the Kitchen to sign up.
   Cafe Connection Menu
On Sunday, September 12, the Cafe will be serving scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal and Little Smokies. In addition, each week we also serve the usual selection of pastries, cinnamon rolls, donuts, bagels, yogurt, English muffins, toast, coffees and teas. Breakfast is served at 9:45 a.m. with our warm welcome to Abiding Harvest and without charge to guests and visitors. As always, we appreciate donations from our members to help offset our expenses.
